UNITY SCADA and PPC are managing three more South African solar plants that are a part of the government’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program. The three assets, constructed by a renowned international EPC company during the last 2 years, have a total capacity of 250 MW, significantly increasing the renewable energy sector’s power production and providing several other benefits to the local communities.

As in the other utility scale assets that Inaccess has had in operation in the country for several years now, UNITY PPC is a key component in achieving smooth integration with the Eskom grid. The installed SCADA utilizes both local and cloud servers for maximum reliability to manage thousands of time series parameters of various granularities from yearly values down to second-by-second real time data. UNITY SCADA is used by both the local and remote teams of the EPC that is also responsible for the site operation and maintenance to ensure the optimal operation of the assets.
